AMATEUR HUNDRED CRICKET FEDERATION INDIA
Rule
HUNDRED Cricket features a maximum of 100 balls per innings, with changes of ends after every 10 balls.
Bowlers deliver in sets of either five or ten consecutive balls, can bowl a maximum of 20 balls per match, and a 25-ball powerplay occurs at the start.
Other key rules include a strategic timeout, a simplified scoring system, and a rule where the new batter faces the next ball on a catch if the batters have crossed.
Maximum balls per bowler
- A bowler can bowl a maximum of 20 balls in an innings.
Strategic timeouts
- The fielding side can take a strategic timeout of up to 2.5 minutes per innings.
Batting and Fielding
Powerplay
- There is a 25-ball powerplay at the start of each innings.
Powerplay restrictions
- During the powerplay, a maximum of two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.
Caught-and-bowled rule change
- If a catch is taken after the batters have crossed, the new batter will be on strike for the next ball.
Other Rules
Tie-breaker
- Ties can be broken by a 5-ball “Super Over”.
Simplified scoreboard
A simplified scoreboard is used for matches.
Dismissals
If a catch is taken after the batters have crossed, the next batter in will still be on strike,and non-striker returns to their original end.
Free hit
The rule for a free hit applies if a delivery is not a legitimate delivery, meaning a no-ball or wide ball, and the batter can only be Dismissed under circumstances that apply to a no-ball.
